Program Manager

Wauseon Machine and Manufacturing is looking for a career minded person to assume the title of Program Manager for our production facility. This position is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, results oriented individual. The primary responsibilities of the position include overall responsibility for all aspects of running multiple profitable program cells to include sales growth, quality and delivery performance, and development of associates and their respective careers in a mid to high volume machine shop environment.

Job Description

• Implement manufacturing program strategies and action plans.
• Create, support, and meet program goals.
• Integration of components for best fit to ensure program success.
• Optimization of performance across program platforms to achieve the best functional and technical value.
• Meet and exceed customer needs and expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in CNC machining environment. Preferable in mid to high volume production runs.
• Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, inspection methods, in-process inspection, machining processes, part processing, and tooling.
• Knowledge of Haas, Mazak, vertical and horizontal machining centers, and turning centers a plus.
• Familiarity with lean concepts and knowledge in the 5S principles area a plus.
• Supervisory experience a plus.

Machine Builder

Wauseon Machine is looking for an experienced, dedicated individual to fill the position of Skilled Machine Builder. The position will build standard and custom tube bending and end forming machines.

Prior experience and abilities in the following areas are required:

• Machine and fixture building
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Must have machinist tools or willing to invest
• Measure to fractions of .001" and fractions of a degree
• Machine details to tight tolerances
• Design equipment (from gages and/or blue prints)
• Travel up to 20%

Experience in the following areas is preferred:

• Basic electrical knowledge
• Industrial maintenance

Tooling Project Engineer

Wauseon Machine and Manufacturing is in search of a Tooling Project Engineer. Quality Manager

Wauseon Machine & Manufacturing is searching for a strong Quality Manager to lead our three plants located in Wauseon in the proven methodologies of Total Quality Management. This person will direct all quality functions consistent with customer requirements and the company's mission and objectives; Be directly responsible for development and implementation of QA initiatives and programs; Reports directly to the CEO and supervises a Quality Engineer, a Quality Technician and inspection staff; Serve as Management Representative for ISO-9001, latest edition; Effectively communicate quality issues with all levels of the organization, customers, and suppliers; Conduct product and process failure analysis; Communicate findings; Develop and implement corrective processes/methodologies. The ideal candidate is well organized, goal oriented, and has effective communication skills. Candidate must have strong leadership skills and the ability to drive improvement activities to reach quality objectives.

The following are required skills:

• 10+Years Management experience managing inspectors, first piece approvals, in-process & final inspection, receiving inspection, gage control, calibration, SPC, data collections, and GP12 containment. This quality management experience in a highly regulated industry such as automotive, aerospace, railroad would be appealing, (i.e. Caterpillar, Chrysler, Cummins, Delphi, Ford) 
• 15+ Years Quality Assurance/Quality Control Experience to include APQP, Product launch, Level 5 PPAP, quality systems leadership, internal & external auditing, 5-Why/8-D methodology, working knowledge of automotive industry standards, including: ISO 9001-2008, ANSI, ASME, SAE, & ASTM.
• Hands on working knowledge of typical inspection equipment and procedures
• Ability to interpret geometric tolerances and interaction with customer engineering 
• Mechanical background including management of machine shop and assembly personal (Milling, Lathe, CNC machines, robotics).

Experience in the following areas is preferred:

• CQM or CQE certification
• Lean Six Sigma experience
• Experience in work group training and facilitation
• Familiarity with TS-16949 standard is desirable

Inside Sales Assistant

This position will process orders for the manufacturing segment of the company. This function includes working with quotes, purchase orders, prints, routing, and exposure to both costing and manufacturing.
